When folding your pages in half, use a bone folder to flatten the folds. I have 4 signatures in my books, and each of my signatures contain 10 sheets, cut 5 ¾" x 10 ½" (slightly smaller than the cover's dimensions), and folded in half they create 20 pages. It can contain almost anything including writing, pictures, drawings, or souvenirs that youve collected on your. If you examine any bound book carefully, you'll notice that the pages are divided into sections, called signatures, which are bound to the cover as individual packets. A travel journal is a scrapbook of memories. I used 40 sheets of regular white printer paper for my pages. I cut my leather scraps 6" x 11" the width needs to be longer than the height so that you can fold the leather in half to create the front and back cover. They are inexpensive but you do need to check the size and quality, so if you're ordering online, be sure to read the product description thoroughly. You may think it’s hard to collect so many things on your travels, but I will just take any brochures, etc. One of my favorite parts is this fold out book of mini postcards, which pops up when you flip through the pages. There are no limits to journaling! Stick whatever you want inside. I used colored markers to write down silly memories, and the stickers helped make the pages have more depth and interest. This helped because I was a bit busier on this trip. With this journal, I packed more drawing supplies and stickers that related to the countries. On a trip like this, journaling is awesome because you’re bound to forget certain things, and this fills in some of those gaps.
